GLP-1 · Pharmacy Score
GLP-1 dose schedule.
Every GLP-1 starts low and steps up. Here's how the dose schedules work for Mounjaro, Wegovy, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo — and why you never skip ahead.
Every GLP-1 medicine follows the same philosophy: start low, step up slowly, let your body adjust. The pattern is called titration, and it exists to keep side effects manageable.
The schedules at a glance
- Mounjaro — starts at 2.5mg weekly for at least four weeks, then steps through 5mg, 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg, up to 15mg
- Wegovy — starts at 0.25mg weekly, stepping through 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg to the 2.4mg maintenance dose, with 7.2mg where a prescriber judges it appropriate
- Wegovy pill — starts at 1.5mg daily, stepping through 4mg and 9mg towards 25mg
- Foundayo — starts at 0.8mg daily, stepping at intervals of at least a month through 2.5mg, 5.5mg, 9mg, 14.5mg to 17.2mg
Two rules that protect you
Never skip a step to chase faster results — side effects scale with dose jumps. And never pick a dose because it's cheaper: dose choice belongs to your prescriber. Prices for every dose are tracked live at the medication hubs above.
